On November 9, 1993, The Silos were invited to Seattle by Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey to play a double bill with the new project they had just invented, The Minus 5. Scott and Peter performed their first-ever live set under The Minus 5 moniker at this show, playing four new songs and covers with the help of Silos members Walter Salas-Humara, Tom Freund, and Manuel Verzosa. Then The Minus 5 handed over the stage to The Silos, who played a long sweaty set comprised mostly of tunes from their latest "Hasta La Victoria" and soon to be released "Susan Across The Ocean" albums. Just days after this exhilarating and magical performance in Seattle, The Silos were involved in a severe van crash in Wyoming that tragically claimed the life of their guitarist Manuel Verzosa. This recording is presented in loving memory of this talented artist and wonderful human being.
