On "Chauffeur," Zeimani, BG, and Kucha recount the trials and tribulations they each faced while trying to make rent as Uber drivers. In their respective verses, they recount the horror stories of drunken passengers, spilling wine, and heavy petting in their backseats, and grapple with the futility of trying to stack meager fares into rent money: How many miles do I have to burn? How many corners do I have to turn? ...Just to keep my place? There are no flowery metaphors here. This song is about the real struggles people face to survive every day. The raw emotion in the Sisters' pleas is matched note for note by the orchestration: the seething fury of the brass, the pleading desperation of the strings, and the endlessly driving swagger of the rhythm section. A discerning ear may even decipher the actual car horns blasting behind the blinding rage of the backgrounds' refrain: Drive!
